Currently although the voters have passed legal marijuana it still has to be approved by congress, and it likely will. Washington D.C. citizens have voted to legalize marijuana for recreational use on November 4th, 2014. Under the law any adult at least 21 years of age may: Possess, use or transport up to 2 oz of marijuana, transfer without remuneration up to 1 oz. You may grow 3 mature and 3 young (6 total) cannabis plants on private property. A total of twelve are allowed in a grow for multiple people.
