Since law enforcement is so tight in Tokyo, you should be very careful with street purchases. However, if you are set on making a purchase, try going to SHIBUYA (Tokyo shopping and entertainment district) and talk to the middle-easterns standing by the corner of jewelry shop across SAKURAYA. they got some weed for sure, but quality varies. When you buy, have a look through fillers can be found in the sacks on occasion. Marijuana cannot be found anywhere but hash is pretty easy to score. Our most recent report is: “Shibuya- Shibuya is growing more dangerous everyday, people just keep gettin caught. Don’t trust the Arabs, the police watch their every move. If you do decide to buy from an Arab there, the hashish and weed price is 4,000/5,000 yen. They will usually take your cell phone number, and call you with a meeting place. If you buy from them, get the fuck out of Shibuya as soon as the deal is closed, avoiding major streets. Roppongi- You can get weed from almost any black club owner in Roppongi, slightly safer than buying from the Shibuya dealers, but still extremely risky. Prices here are more expensive, usually 5,000/6,000 yen.” an also: “You can get weed in hash (brick) form in Shibuya (NOT SAFE AT ALL) Ebisu (safer) and Ropongi These are the hotspots, and there are many headshops everywhere. The dealers all look middle eastern and just stand around.” and :”Kingston bar in roppongi, safe, ask the waitress (actually its a woman), then she will give you the stuff. Don’t buy anything in the street!!!” and: “Now, Roppongi mostly, although it’s filled with cops all night so be really careful. It’s risky to ask people, and even more when they’re japanese : they’re cool people but once you slip out of their “system” they can easily go talk to some cops about “how weird the stranger who just asked me for drugs looks”. The other way of finding marijuana is by “knowing” people. In Tokyo, it’s all about contacts and meeting people even if it doesn’t seem so : you build yourself not a reputation but a list of persons to call.”
Good Hydro: 4,000- 7,000yen per gram depending on connections. Nothing special, but works: 3,000- 5,500yen per gram again depending on connections. Hash: 5,000yen pretty stable and close to this price. If you buy 4 or 5 grams, sometimes you can get a small discount. It is recommended to do so – not for the fiscal reasons but because the more you buy at one time, the less you have to go there. another report noted: “Expensive : For weed, the good one you can find around bars in Roppongi: 7000-6000 yen the first times 5000-4000 yen (not less) once you get to know the guy you’re doing business with. If you “know” people, you can get hashish for really good prices and the more you’ll come back to your dealer the better the quality will get.”
Don’t smoke in public… Just don’t. It’s not worth it unless you’re sure that you’re in a totally safe place. In Tokyo, you’re almost always watched (…density…) but if you start losing yourself inside the small streets where only japanese “salary-man” go for work, you can sit and VERY dicreetly and silently lit up you joint (which you will hide behind your hand so that people don’t see the shape of it when you don’t smoke). There are parks everywhere but they’re guarded (I mean there’ll always be at some point a man on duty telling you that you can’t be here) Roll up “cigarette sized joints” if you really want to smoke in a park. Enjoy your smoking, and be careful. In Tokyo, only REAL smokers can smoke. The others won’t get the motivation because of the paranoia level (price and risks..) *THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT* Don’t cary any weed on you if you plan to buy things from a head shop. Head shops are pretty common in Japan, but it’s also common for the police to be waiting right outside, and trust me, they do search you. – Overall, buying weed in Tokyo is possible. But, it’s expensive and very risky.

The main thing is that the police have to ask to search you. If you say no they can’t do anything. It’s not good to drive because they can stop your car and get your license number. walk, take a taxi, or the subway. Don’t let them search you or look at your passport. Just say No! and walk away. They might try to strong arm you but do not let them search you. If you are under arrest you will be in handcuffs otherwise walk away. Cops are really cracking down. Shibuya is still available but is VERY creepy. There was a pretty big bust about a week ago. another reporter added: “The Japanese law is a lot worse than it is said to be- for one, you are guilty until proven innocent. The number of cops is insane, and they’re always looking to bust anyone who looks white (no joke, the police is quite racist.)”

I’ve been caugh smoking weed, i can tell you that cops don’t let you go so easy, but “luckly” my weed was some fake weed, and they let me go… but it was a very very very unhappy evening. Be caryfull if you smoke in park or anywhere else outside, ’cause if someone see you, he will call police immidiatly..
